A proven old-school method of building muscle mass, dropsets have been used for decades by all levels of bodybuilders. However, they cannot be used on every exercise and every set as this will result in over training.

Goals/benefits: Dropsets are an effective “shock technique” to push your muscles to grow once they have hit a plateau. It is ideally used for a short spell of about 4 weeks on select exercises.

Notes: During dropsets despite being fatigued at this point, do not pump out reps. Do them in a controlled manner while appreciating the pain and hard work.
